IT Park Uzbekistan and Silicon Village launch cooperation

On 27 April 2026, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Deputy General Director for Resident Affairs Mr. Lazizbek Khudaev, held a high-level meeting with Mr. Abid Kabir Cheema, CEO of Silicon Village and Executive Director of Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd. (HRL Group). The meeting was facilitated by Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, who played a key role in advancing this milestone collaboration between IT Park Uzbekistan and Silicon Village, Pakistan.

This engagement marks an important step toward building a dynamic, cross-regional technology ecosystem connecting Central Asia and South Asia. Following productive discussions, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation and expanding international opportunities for startups and technology enterprises.

The partnership focuses on several key areas, including startup support through incubation and acceleration programs, technology commercialization, and the exchange of knowledge and best practices. Both sides also agreed to organize joint initiatives such as seminars, forums, webinars, and roadshows to promote innovation and collaboration.

In addition, the agreement emphasizes enabling soft-landing opportunities for startups, facilitating market access, and fostering deeper international engagement. By bridging emerging innovation hubs in Pakistan and Uzbekistan, this collaboration is set to unlock new avenues for investment, digital transformation, and scalable technology solutions.

Silicon Village, based in Islamabad, Pakistan is actively developing infrastructure for startups and tech companies by integrating workspaces, partnerships, and access to professional networks. Its collaboration with IT Park Uzbekistan further reinforces its mission to support innovation and entrepreneurship on a global scale.

This strategic alignment positions both Pakistan and Uzbekistan as rising contributors to the global digital economy, strengthening regional connectivity and laying the foundation for long-term, tech-driven cooperation.
