It was inspiring to witness a defining moment for women in technology at Silicon Village Pakistan, Capital Smart City, where the inauguration of TecHerForward marked a significant step toward empowering young women across Pakistan through digital skills development, innovation, and access to emerging opportunities in the technology sector.
The event welcomed Natalie A. Baker and the delegation from the United States Embassy, underscoring the importance of international collaboration in building a more inclusive, innovative, and globally connected digital economy. Their participation reflected a shared commitment to supporting initiatives that expand educational and professional opportunities for women and contribute to Pakistan’s technological advancement.
TecHerForward, an initiative of Stewart Pakistan Private Limited and Alight Solutions, launched at the Zaha Hadid Skills Center in partnership with Silicon Village Pakistan, represents a forward-looking effort to equip women with the skills, confidence, mentorship, and opportunities needed to lead in Pakistan’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. The initiative aims to bridge gaps in technology access and foster greater participation of women in the digital economy.
Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram had the honor of attending this remarkable event and commended the vision behind initiatives that promote digital inclusion, women’s empowerment, and sustainable technological development. He emphasized that investing in women’s education and technological capabilities is essential for fostering innovation, economic growth, and long-term national development.
