Strengthening Economic Bridges: Connecting Central Asia with Africa

In pursuit of expanding new avenues for international trade and economic cooperation, the management of Africa House Pakistan had the privilege of meeting with His Excellency Alisher Tukhtaev, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 9th March 2026.The participants included Muhammad Rehan Younas, Chairman of Africa House Pakistan and Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram.
The meeting focused on exploring strategic opportunities to connect the dynamic markets of Central Asia with the emerging economies of Africa. Both sides discussed the immense potential for trilateral cooperation in trade facilitation, logistics connectivity, investment partnerships, and business-to-business engagement.
Uzbekistan, located at the heart of Central Asia, serves as a vital gateway to the region, while Africa represents one of the fastest-growing economic frontiers in the world. Strengthening these linkages through Pakistan can open new corridors of commerce, innovation, and mutual prosperity.
Africa House Pakistan remains committed to playing a constructive role in fostering cross-regional partnerships and facilitating meaningful dialogue between stakeholders from Central Asia and Africa.
